Seasons last a short period of time, according to our calendar seasons last for 3 months each, spring, summer, fall & winter, some of our relationships with others only last for a season, now the season may be longer than 3 months.
It took me a long time to understand that all relationships are not meant to last. I would reach out to the person and try to keep in touch and no effort was made on their part then I knew the relationship was over. I have had a relationship where me and this young lady was best friends and we lost touch for 20+ years and reconnected and still that relationship is dead. now I have had relationships where we lost touch for that same length of time and we picked up like no time had been lost.
God is not a season God, He won’t come in and out of your life, he is there to stay. He wants to be in a relationship with you during all seasons. It is us who has a season relationship with God, for example, during the spring and summer months we are all good, we planning vacations/ partying with family and friends, going to family reunions, weddings etc….we have so much to do that we put God on the back burner, then come fall & winter when things are calmer and maybe a little difficult then we turn to God needing his direction.
Just think about this….What if God was seasonal with us?
The promise we have that God is not a season God is in Joshua 1:5 when God is talking to Joshua telling him that just as he was with Moses he will be with him, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. Just as God was with Moses & Joshua he is always with us not matter what. Don’t make your relationship with God seasonal make it permanent.
