Happy New year everyone!!!!! 2016 was a great year!!!! 2017 is going to be better!!!
In my daily reading this morning, In Matthew 14:22-33 this passage of scripture is about Jesus walking on water, reading that when Jesus was done praying and came down from the mountain the ship was in the midst of the sea, in the midst of a wind storm, when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were troubled, saying it is a spirit, and they were scared, Jesus immediately spoke to them to calm them down and Peter said if it be you Jesus bid me to come unto thee water, and Jesus said come, now when Peter stepped out the boat he begin to walk on the water toward Jesus, because he was focus on looking at Jesus, when Peter took his eyes off Jesus he began to sink.
We are just like Peter when we keep our focus on Jesus we are able to do mighty things and when distractions come we take our focus off of Jesus and onto the situation, at that point we begin to sink, because we are trying to fix the situation and once we have tried all we can then we turn our focus back to Jesus.
In 2017 Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus, let’s keep him first. It may seem hard, but it is the most powerful thing you can do. Instead of looking at your situation and stressing over something that you can’t change, turn your focus and the situation back on Jesus.
The more we keep our eyes on Jesus we will become more and more like him—full of health, strength wisdom and life.
The Thought for today is—— When I keep my focus on Jesus I can walk above my situation.
