Your Friend

In our everyday friendships it involves loving and being loved. It means knowning that someone is on your side, wanting to help you, cheering you on, and always keeping your best interest in mind. A friend is someone you want to spend time with and someone who is dear to you. You invest time in and with that person.

Developing your friendship with God is similar to developing a friendship with others. It takes time. You can be as close to God as you want to be; it all depends on how much time you are willing to invest in your relationship with him. The way you get a close relationship with God is spending time in prayer and reading and studying the word of God, and walking with him on a regular basis.

The difference between developing a relationship with God and a relationship with others is that God will always be there when you need him, he will never turn his back on you and he will always answer when you call 🙂

Don’t try to keep God in a religious compartment, he wants free access to every area of your life. God wants to be your friend.

Will you invest in a relationship with God?
