There are relationships in our lives that we need to identify as liabilities and get rid of them.
Let’s talk about a few….
- Accepting disappointing realities…. We have to realize that our efforts are not enough and we can’t help everyone. Releasing them don’t mean that they won’t get better, but we are releasing them to the one who will never fail them.
- Don’t try to be someone else’s god—-there will always be people who will turn to us for help and make us feel guilty when we don’t help them. there is a difference between helping and carrying someone. When we constant help someone we could be a hindrance. We have to let go of them and allow God to take control.
- Become comfortable with criticism—-When you end a relationship everyone will not be happy with you. To avoid criticism is to tell what everyone wants to hear, which becomes a lie. The truth hurts and it often alienates people. The truth makes people uncomfortable.
If we are honest with ourselves we would rather not have to end a relationship, but in reality sometimes it have to be done.
We will talk more about these relationships that we need to get rid of, so they won’t destroy us..emotional or spiritually.
