Close the door

In Philippians 4 it tells us what we should meditate on, we should be meditating on things which are good, we should be meditating on God’s promises. On a daily basis we should pay attention to what we are meditating on, we control the doorway to our minds.

If we go through the day worried about our finances, worried about our family, worried about our future, we are allowing the wrong thoughts to play in our minds and it will cause us to be anxious, fearful, negative, and discouraged.

Today start thinking about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and whatever things are excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. If we begin to meditate on these things our faith/hope will be restored and we will begin to see things differently.

Will you close the door on negativity?

  1. So true. That leads me to believe that many of the mental states we find ourselves in are actually the results of the choices we have made on what we focus on! As Paul said, sometimes we have to just THINK ourselves happy!
