So often we let our environment, how we were raised, & people’s expectations of us set the limits for our life. We totally adapt to what’s around us. If we take a tree seed and plant it in a regular house pot, that tree will never become what is was meant to be because of the environment it is in. The same is with us, it is so easy to fit in with our environment and those around us but God did not create us to be like someone else. God created us to stand out and be who he created us to be. We are suppose to be greater than those who raised us, we are to set new standards. If your current environment consist of addictions, low self-esteem, depression, you can’t stop it but you don’t have to accept it, if you do accept it will keep you from your destiny.
Sometimes people will try to put you in a box. They will tell you things like, you can’t start a business, you can’t get that job, etc. They say these things because their thinking is limited. Change your thinking and set new standards for yourself.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2
